Website

Another thing to ad - I've been working on my woman's site again recently, the work area is a little more thorough now if you'd like to have a look.

I am really happy with the look of this now, think it looks sleak & different to your average photographers site also. Well, atleast different to her classmates who all used the same template.

Checkit.

I guess this will probably be my last post while in Falmouth... Unfortunately i'll miss the chance to have a tutorial too so this is it indeed! Will be back in September, hopefully with some animation done over the summer, although that's only half likely since im off to Italy for the most of the summer (wahey!). I'm gunna try to keep my blog updated wherever I am.

See ya all when I get back, have a good summer and enjoy the weather while it's nice :D

That's all for now, folks

Over the summer I want to have a look into making t-shirts. Online im guessing is the best way, i've seen some sites where you can do this (Cafe Press for example) but for that.. its £20 a shirt... I dont know if my own label justify's that amount really :).

But anywho i'd like to put some of my pics onto t shirts. Shall keep ya updated..

Peace!

A Scanner Darkly

Just watched this film again. I first watched it when it came out in 2006 and have seen it a few times since and I would tell you all to go and watch it. Firstly because you're all animation students, and this film is a very good experimental film to watch, it uses a keen rotoscoping style throughout (and leaves you thinking why bother no doubt), and secondly because it's a very good film regardless. The plot is tough to grasp at first, it revolves around a group of drug fiends and a police investigator, watching over them in a big brother patrolled state. But there is more to it than that, more than the actual plot of the film - the themes within are what is interesting narratively. It talks about the state we live in, big brother, and where we are headed (or have arrived.. - the book was written in the 70's), loss-of-many things, drug addiction and the casualties along the way. Ironically this film is one of them that 'you should watch on drugs'... but really watching it, you realise it is in retaliation to that stereotype.

Anywho a very good film, and two very worthwhile reasons to watch. It's in the library at uni.

Also, I realised watching it for the third time, this guy is also the cool stoner kid  out of 'Dazed and Confused'.. wahey!

What does a scanner see? Into the head? Down into the heart? Does it see into me? Into us? Clearly or darkly?

Group project finito

Well heelo. Have finally finished the group project. It was a long struggle but ended with a sprint and we are done. I am happy with the final outcome, I think its definitely the ground work there for a good grouping. Gotta remember we are just first years, by year three if we were to redo it I think it would be of production standard.

There's our final thing.

If you play this song in the background it goes quite well with it:
